Where Education and Creativity Meet: New Collaboration between the Hugh Campbell Hair Group and the LCETB
All salons under the umbrella of the Hugh Campbell Hair Group are synonymous with quality. This applies to everything, from hairdressing itself to the customer service experience. While style is very much the business, education is its calling card. From the opening of the first hair salon in Limerick over 40 years ago, the brand has been built on a consistent principle – investment in its people. Continuous professional development in the form of education and training means that the four salons are comprised of highly skilled, qualified teams of stylists and colourists. There is now a new and exciting opportunity to join those teams.
Hairdressing Apprenticeships in Limerick
What’s involved? In conjunction with the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB), the Hugh Campbell Hair Group is now recruiting the first trainees for the new National Hairdressing Apprenticeship. This is an innovative 3-year programme, leading to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Hairdressing. As part of the apprenticeship, trainees will have the opportunity to spend 1 day in an LCETB training hub and 4 days a week having on the job training and mentoring in salon.
The Hugh Campbell Hair Group is one of the first to implement this newly validated apprenticeship and we’re looking for pioneers to join us. The National Hairdressing Apprenticeship begins in January but we’re looking to recruit immediately. We are looking for apprentices, with their Leaving Cert (or equivalent) and an openness to learning in a creatively-charged environment. You’ll be hairdressing for the next generation so will need to be creative, committed and motivated.
