February is always an exciting month for the team here at Hugh Campbell Hair Group, as the month marks our annual in-salon awards. The awards are a chance for us to celebrate all our hard work and achievements over the past 12 months whilst celebrating the creative vision of our teams.
This year, our in-salon awards took place on Sunday 17th February at the beautiful Clayton Hotel Limerick, with breath-taking views over the River Shannon. Leading industry names judged this year’s awards including Educator Debbie G, Creative Head Ireland Editor Anna Samson, L’Oreal’s Patricia Strachen and our very own Graphic Designer, Avril Cairns.
Leading the event was our organiser and host, James O’Dwyer – Marbles Colour Zone Colour Specialist who also heads up the Hugh Campbell Hair Group Artistic Team. To kick off James welcomed everyone to the awards and thanked all the staff for their passion and commitment to the business over the past year.
The awards were split into three categories; Future Hair-Up, Future Cut and Colour and Senior Cut & Colour.
At the beginning of each category, the
stylists’ models were welcomed to the floor, allowing the judges to get up close and personal and take notes on each contestant. The judges were looking for incredible technique, innovative colour work, on-trend styling and of course creativity. The standard this year was outstanding, leaving the judges all blown away by the artistic flair and skill showcased on the models.
The decision this year was extremely difficult, with the teams all displaying extremely high standards. After an intensive judging process, it was time to announce the winners for each category. The winners now go on to enter the L’Oreal Colour Trophy for 2019 – an incredible achievement.
