Hugh Campbell among Limerick’s sexiest men!

After over three decades of making women look and feel beautiful this week the tables turned on Hugh Campbell when the Limerick Chronicle named him one of the 50 sexiest men in Limerick.

In order to compile this list the judging panel, led by fashion guru Celia Holman Lee, spent hours researching the county's hottest men. They considered men from all age group and walks of life placing Hugh at number 22.

Both Hugh and his staff were highly amused by the announcement. When ask about his place Hugh said ‘I can’t deny that I’m more then a bit surprised to find myself on the list.

But Hugh’s clients are not so surprised.  “I think he should be number 1, he’s a very charming man. A real gentlemen”, says Mary who has been a Hugh client for the last 20 years

“I was happy to see him on the paper, he looks great and I can tell you he’s even better when you see him in the salon”, declares  Bridget.

Recently Hugh became a member of the Hairdressing Hall of Leaders when he was named an ICON of Irish Hairdressing.  Hugh was selected because he has made a valuable contribution to shaping the industry. During the last 30 years his visionary concept of hairdressing guided the course of Irish hairdressing history.

Hugh Campbell collection
Autumn-Winter 2009/2010

A Shiny Feminine Chic look produced by a practical low-maintenance cut, this is the vision expressed in the Hugh Campbell Hair Group’s autumn/winter 2009/10 collection. Because we at the Hugh Campbell Hair Group believe hair is intrinsically linked to fashion our artistic team takes inspiration from the catwalks of London, New York, Milan and Paris. We work six months ahead to ensure that when these designs hit the high street we have already developed hairstyles that will complement and enhance these looks.

Autumn/Winter 2009/10 will see hair styles which reflect a woman who is innovative and futuristic, who celebrates easy-to-wear styles but never renounces her sense of fun.

To capture this we have developed a range of cuts that express an urban realism while rejecting the cold androgynous looks of recent year, our lines follow the feature of the face and not the contrary. We have focused primarily on shorter looks this season ranging from classic Hollywood finger waves to the reinvention of the classic bob, but the most popular is the ready-to-wear rough, tumble and effortless look, inspired by the naturally wavy feel of hair that has been dried in the sun.

As always colour plays a central role in creating out latest styles. We have always used colour to transform our cuts in to the ultimate in head-turning style and this season is no exception. We have used all over colours which leave hair looking healthy, shiny and full of vitality. Working with a pallet of soft browns, mahogany, chestnut and copper we have skilfully blended to produce the rich warm tones which define our Autumn/Winter 2009/10 looks.
