World Hairdresser of the Year

Amanda Whittome,
winner of the 2007 European Championship Hairdresser
of the Year travelled to Chicago to represent
Ireland in the 2008 World Championship of
Hairdressing.

Talent Spotting

The team
is young but the performance produced by Karrie
Fitzmaurice (Melo Yelo), Charlie O’Sullivan (Melo Yelo)
and Joanne Clifford (River Hair Salon) was strong
and innovative. The trio represented Ireland in
London in the Final of the Talent spotting 2008. Vibrant colour and funky gothic
style were the ingredients of the show presented in
Dublin. The winning trio drew their
inspiration from the style of the “Harajuku Girls”.
